With a pollen covered head a Tui feeds on the flowers of a Flax, on Tiritiri Matangi Island in the Hauraki Gulf near Auckland City, New Zealand..One of the three endemic species of New Zealand honeyeaters, the others being the Stitchbird and Bellbird, the Tui, also known as the Parson bird, is very intelligent and has the ability to mimic sounds much like parrots..Having 2 voice boxes allows the Tui to sing 2 different notes at the same time, with some of them being beyond human hearing.
